PH Consulate General in Chongqing attends 2nd RCEP International Engineering Design & Consulting Roundtable Summit
Chongqing, 19 October 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, represented by Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (left photo), attends the 2nd RCEP International Engineering Design & Consulting Roundtable Summit. The event was hosted by Yantron Technology (Chongqing) Co. Ltd. and directed by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce.
Celebration of the Philippine National Tourism Week
In view of the celebration of the Philippine National Tourism Week under Proclamation No. 894, series of 1996, the Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing officially launched its two (2) tourism walls at the Chancery area and Consular area, during its Third Quarter Filipino Community Townhall Meeting on 17 September 2024. The Consulate General aims to contribute to meeting the country’s target number of foreign tourist arrivals every year.
Throughout the town hall meeting the Consulate General also discussed brief information on Mana Mo, its thrust on education diplomacy, the accomplishments of the office, upcoming events, and its new Chinese website to better provide service to its Chinese clients.
Philippines Promotes Woven Garments, Tourist Destinations, Snacks and Agricultural Products at the 13th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo
Chongqing, 20-22 September 2024 - The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing showcased Philippine woven garments of Hibla PH, tourist destinations courtesy of the Philippine Department of Tourism in Shanghai, snacks of Oishi and agricultural products by DOLE and S&W at the 13th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo held on 20-22 September 2024 at the Chongqing International Expo Center , Yubei District, Chongqing. Participation in the Expo is in line with the Philippine Government’s efforts to bring more FIlipino brands to the international market.
PH Consulate General in Chongqing visits Chongqing RCEP Investment and Trade Service Center
Chongqing, 16 August 2024 - (Left photo) Philippine Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (right) meets Mr. Yang Ming (left), the Secretary General of Chongqing RCEP Investment and Trade Service Center (the Center). The Center was opened on 27 April 2023 under the management of the Chongqing Office of Beijing Yingke Law Firm (Yinke). With Yinke—the largest China-based law firm—at its helm, the Center aims to provide an all-in-one platform for RCEP-related political and commercial matters. The Center endeavors to connect around one hundred and ten (110) enterprises in Chongqing with its wide network overseas, including the Philippines.
