PH Consulate General in Chongqing welcomes International Visiting Students from Yunnan Minzu University

Chongqing, 23 July 2024 - (Left photo)  Philippine Consul General Ivan Frank M. Olea (middle) warmly received eight students from Yunnan Minzu University. The students major in Filipino in the School of South Asian and Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures of Yunnan Minzu University and were qualified for admission to the University of the Philippines-Diliman as International Visiting Students, funded by the China Scholarship Council. Consul General Olea gave an overview of Philippine history, including historic ties of the Philippines and China, and provided tips on student life in the Philippines. The students expressed enthusiasm in exploring the Philippines and in understanding our rich culture.
